Project: Golar FLNG — Offshore Pennington, Nigeria

Scope: Subsea Design

Subsea design for the Golar FLNG development across OML 86 and 88, covering field layout — riser configurations, flowline routing, manifold placement, and umbilical termination architecture — with installation feasibility assessments and equipment specifications. Included the slot subsea manifold concept, selection of dry Christmas trees for clustered wells on the Funiwa and Middleton jackets and wet subsea trees for satellite wells, manifold and tree data sheets, electro-hydraulic-chemical umbilical design with distribution equipment, and initial cost estimation for budgeting.

Scope: Design Support Services and Manpower Supply

Golar FLNG - Offshore Pennington, Nigeria June 2025

Scope: Flow Assurance Study

Flow assurance study across OML 86 and 88, combining steady-state hydraulic analysis for flowline sizing — network definition, boundary setting, PIPESIM solving and validation, and hydrate risk assessment — with transient analysis on the subsea flowlines and risers at the Funiwa and Middleton platforms to evaluate shutdown, ramp-up, depressurization, pigging, and valve closure, including pressure surge/water hammer analysis and mitigation measures. Also delivered subsea conceptual engineering design — field layout, tree and manifold selection, umbilical and riser configuration, flowline routing, and installation methodology to support Pre-FEED — alongside cost estimation covering subsea equipment, installation vessels, engineering, contingency, and lifecycle maintenance.

Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project (NETAP) — (World Bank Funded) March 2023 – January 2024

Scope: 330/132kV Substation Construction Supervision Works.

Construction supervision and QA/QC across 12 transmission substations under the World Bank–funded NETAP programme. Scope covered substation buildings and the supervision of 330/132/33kV circuit breakers, 330/132kV switchgears with associated protection and control equipment, and 330/132kV transformers.

Industrial Wastewater Resource Recovery Project May 2024

Scope: Design Engineering — implementation of an integrated wastewater management system focused on resource recovery and regulatory compliance.

Multidisciplinary design engineering for an integrated wastewater management system, spanning process engineering and design, civil and structural design, mechanical and electrical design, and instrumentation and automation. Delivered alongside regulatory compliance work and full project management deliverables.

NGPIS 50MW Gas-Powered Plant — Maiduguri November 2023

Scope: Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for a 50MW gas-powered plant.

FEED for a 50MW gas-powered plant in Maiduguri, covering plant configuration, power generator specifications (gas and steam turbines), turbine and auxiliary cooling systems, gas supply infrastructure, and overall plant layout. Engineering deliverables included the fuel, water and steam system PFDs, the power plant process flow diagram, a heat balance diagram for two loads and three ambient temperatures, efficiency/heat rate calculations, load tables with main operating data, single line diagram, main building section layout, and an assessment of future plant expansion possibilities.

RCC 20MW Gas-Fired IPP Plant — UNILAG, Lagos January 2023

Scope: Feasibility Study for a proposed 20MW gas-fired Independent Power Plant (IPP).

Feasibility study for a proposed 20MW gas-fired IPP at UNILAG, Lagos, assessing technical, environmental, financial, and market viability. Technical work covered site suitability, gas supply infrastructure, generation technology options, grid interconnection, and plant layout. The environmental assessment evaluated emissions, noise, waste management, and regulatory compliance, while the financial analysis developed CAPEX/OPEX estimates, financial models, IRR/NPV analysis, and economic impact. Market viability work analyzed local demand, identified potential off-takers, and assessed the potential for excess power export to the national grid.

NGPIS 1350MW Kano IPP — FEED November 2023

Scope: Market Study / Power Evacuation & Grid Integration Study for a 1,350MW IPP.

Market and grid integration study for the NGPIS 1,350MW IPP in Kano, assessing the feasibility of connecting and evacuating power from the project site to the 330/132kV grid network. Scope also covered the market viability of the project in terms of demand and supply, and the identification of viable electricity off-takers.

UTM FLNG — Pre-FEED March 2022

Scope: Design Support Services and Manpower Supply for OML 104 FLNG Pre-FEED.

Multidisciplinary design support and manpower supply for the UTM FLNG Pre-FEED on OML 104, spanning topsides and subsea tie-backs. Process engineering covered simulation, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment and line sizing, relief and blowdown studies, and hydraulic analysis. Piping and pipeline design included route selection, wall thickness sizing, material selection, stress and flexibility analysis, and support design, while instrumentation design covered instrument selection, control valve sizing, shutdown logic, loop drawings, and data sheets. Subsea and flow assurance work addressed subsea architecture (umbilicals, manifolds, trees, jumpers, and flowlines), steady-state and transient analysis, hydrate/wax/corrosion risk assessment, chemical inhibition, and operating envelope definition, with a subsea cost estimate prepared as input to the overall investment case.

Premium Steel and Mines Limited — Rehabilitation June 2017

Scope: Gas Feasibility Study.

Gas feasibility study to secure gas supply for the Premium Steel and Mines plant, evaluating the best techno-economic supply option. Scope included integrity checks to confirm the existing Aladja Gas Pipeline System (AGPS) infrastructure could meet the plant’s requirements and transport gas volumes of up to 50 mmscfd at 10 bar, along with technical advisory services during the Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) negotiations between PSML and the gas supplier.

Bonny Terminal Integrated Project (BTIP) — SPDC August 2008 – January 2009

Scope: Integration Design and Engineering — Wastewater (Turnkey Basis).

Turnkey integration design and engineering for wastewater management at the Bonny Terminal, integrating with existing terminal facilities to manage oily water and storage from the New Process Area. Multidisciplinary scope spanned process engineering and design, civil and structural design, mechanical and electrical design, and instrumentation and automation, delivered alongside regulatory compliance and full project management deliverables.

NNPC Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) — Quick Fix Projects May 2026

Scope: Maintenance, repair, and replacement of WRPC Wastewater Treatment Plant field instrumentation (Process Instrumentation Upgrade).

Upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant field instrumentation at WRPC, covering the engineering, specification, and selection of modern corrosion-resistant instruments to replace obsolete units across Sump 171/172 A/B, the ballast water pipeline from tanks Tk-360-01 and Tk-360-002, Physiochemical Treatment Trains 1–4, and the Chemical Building. Scope included procurement of new process field instruments — Coriolis flow transmitters and totalizers on 6″ and 2″ lines, level and pressure transmitters, switches, conductivity analyzers, oil-in-water content meters, and alarms — along with decommissioning of the obsolete instrumentation, and the installation, calibration, testing, SCADA integration, and commissioning of the new instruments to ensure reliable process monitoring.

650,000 bpd Dangote Oil Refinery — RFCCU Substation Switchgear Installation May 2022

Scope: EPC turnkey installation of 2 × 11/6.6/0.4kV switchgears for the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (RFCCU) Substation.

EPC turnkey delivery of two 11/6.6/0.4kV switchgears for the RFCCU substation at the Dangote Oil Refinery. Engineering and design covered detailed layouts, schematic diagrams, and cable schedules for the 11kV, 6.6kV, and 0.4kV systems, incorporating upgraded switchgear and transformer specifications. Procurement and installation included two 6.6kV/0.4kV switchboards, new motor control centers (MCCs), and distribution panels compliant with modern arc-resistant safety standards. Civil and structural works covered installation of the switchgears with numerical multifunction protection relays (IEDs) for improved diagnostics and protection, integrated into the substation automation system (SAS) and the refinery’s main DCS for real-time monitoring and control. Delivery was completed with pre-commissioning tests — insulation resistance, contact resistance, and functional testing — and full-load Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to confirm performance before handover.

LACT Unit — Low Voltage Electrical Panel Upgrade October 2022

Scope: Procurement and repair services for the upgrade and replacement of low voltage electrical panels for the Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) unit.

Upgrade and replacement of the low voltage electrical panels for the LACT unit. Scope began with assessment and planning — inspection of the existing panel for damage and outdated components, and design of the new panel to meet the LACT unit’s load, voltage, and safety requirements. Works were executed with safe power isolation coordinated with control room operators to avoid operational disruption, followed by dismantling and removal of the old panel with wires labelled for reconnection.

Installation covered mounting and wiring of the new panel, connection of field wiring to the new circuit breakers with correct termination and grounding (extending short cables via junction boxes), and completion through functional circuit testing and insulation resistance checks to confirm all sensors and pumps operated as expected.

Dangote Oil Refinery — Emulsion Treatment Plant Grounding & Earthing System October 2022

Scope: EPC of the grounding and earthing system for the Emulsion Treatment Plant.

Engineering & Design: Four-point Wenner-method soil resistivity survey; fault current, step/touch voltage, and earth electrode resistance calculations using ETAP; design of the main earthing grid, earth pits, riser connections, and equipment bonding; lightning protection for tall structures and substations; and hazardous area classification to Zone 1/2 requirements — with earthing layout drawings, BOQ, and design reports as deliverables.
Procurement: Grounding conductors, earth electrodes, earth pits and inspection wells, connection and bonding materials, and lightning arrestors.
Construction & Installation: Trenching and installation of the underground copper mesh grid, driving of earth rods for low resistance, equipotential bonding of all metallic structures, vessels, pipelines, and cable trays, exothermic welding of underground connections for corrosion resistance, and construction of inspection pits.
Testing & Commissioning: Soil resistivity, earth continuity, and earth resistance testing, inspection, and documentation through pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Phoenix Steel Mills Limited — 132/33/11kV TCN Connection (Ogun State) 2021

Scope: Procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of 6.6kV substation switchgears for the connection of Phoenix Steel Mills Limited to TCN as an eligible customer.

Delivery of the 6.6kV substation switchgears for Phoenix Steel Mills’ 132/33/11kV TCN connection, covering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.

Design & Engineering: General Arrangement (GA) drawings, schematic diagrams, Bill of Materials (BoM), and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) prepared for owner approval.
Procurement: 6.6kV, 3-phase, 50Hz, metal-clad indoor Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) with Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs) and VCB panels, numerical protective relays, Current and Voltage Transformers (CTs/VTs), busbars, and marshalling panels.
Installation & Erection: Site preparation (foundations, trenches, and earthing to the main station grid); positioning, aligning, and bolting of the 6.6kV panels; busbar coupling and jointing to manufacturer torque specs; laying, dressing, and termination of HT XLPE power and control cables; and connection of the common tinned copper earth bar.
Testing & Commissioning: Pre-commissioning checks (visual inspection, mechanical checks, insulation resistance testing); electrical testing (contact resistance, high voltage, CT/VT checks, and relay testing); functional commissioning of interlocks, alarm schemes, and remote SCADA/DCS operation, with final tightening, removal of shipping braces, and space heater verification.
Documentation & Handover: As-built drawings, operator training on functional features, maintenance, and troubleshooting, and site handover.

EPC for Chemical Dosing Unit and Storage Building (Turnkey Basis) July 2019

Scope: Turnkey EPC of a chemical dosing unit and storage building.

Detailed Engineering Design (DED): Civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, including 3D plant models, P&IDs for connected utilities, and structural steel calculations.
Procurement & Logistics: Construction materials (structural steel, cement, roofing, flooring) and specialized equipment (HVAC, fire detection/suppression systems, racking).
Construction & Installation: Site preparation (clearing, grading, access roads); civil and structural works (reinforced concrete foundations, floor slabs, structural steel erection, perimeter fencing); building services/MEP (electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, ventilation/HVAC); and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of structural welding and fabrication, including painting and coating.
Commissioning, Pre-commissioning & Handover: Hydro testing of fire piping, electrical testing, and structural integrity checks; final inspections, cleaning, and system preparation; and handover with regulatory approval, client personnel training, and transfer of final documentation.

WRPC Quick Fix Repairs Project — Chemical Dosing Unit Rehabilitation February 2024

Scope: Rehabilitation of the Chemical Dosing Unit.

Rehabilitation of the chemical dosing unit under the WRPC Quick Fix Repairs Project, covering engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning.

Engineering & Design: Technical survey and audit of the existing dosing facilities (pumps, storage tanks, and piping) to assess structural and operational integrity; engineering design of new and upgraded dosing systems, including PFDs, P&IDs, and electrical design for the instrumentation upgrade; and safety engineering to evaluate chemical storage compatibility and prevent corrosion and hazardous reactions.
Procurement: High-precision metering dosing pumps; corrosion-resistant chemical storage tanks and motor-driven agitation/mixing systems; piping, tubing, and valves compatible with caustic/acidic chemicals; and new control systems, flowmeters, level sensors, and indicators for automated dosing, aligned with modern DCS.
Installation & Construction: Safe demolition and removal of obsolete, heavily corroded pumps, tanks, and structural supports; installation of new dosing pumps, skids, and storage tanks; piping installation including suction and discharge lines, check valves, and relief valves; and E&I works covering control panels, cabling, and DCS linkage for remote monitoring and control.
Testing, Commissioning & Startup: Hydrostatic pressure testing of all new piping and connections; functional testing of dosing pumps for calibration, flow rate accuracy, and automatic control operation; performance evaluation through commissioning with chemicals to confirm optimal effluent treatment; and operator training on operation and maintenance.

Compressed Natural Gas Supply — Cowty Creek Estate January 2023

Scope: Pressure Reducing Metering Skid (PRMS) and LP & HP fittings for the Cowty Creek Estate gas supply.

Delivery and installation of a Pressure Reducing Metering Skid with LP and HP fittings for the Cowty Creek Estate gas supply, covering engineering, civil, mechanical, E&I, and commissioning.

Project Management & Engineering: Detailed engineering, lifting analysis, and submission of Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and NDT reports.
Civil & Structural Works: RCC foundation construction with anchor bolts set to the geotechnical report and soil bearing capacity; positioning, leveling, and alignment of the PRMS on the foundation; and installation of the grounding/earthing system for the skid structure and piping.
Mechanical Installation & Piping: Inlet/outlet hook-up of the HP supply line and LP downstream network; installation of HP/LP fittings including filters, pressure regulators, slam-shut valves (SSV), safety relief valves (SRV), and flow meters; piping welding to ASME B31.8 / API 1104 standards, including weldolet branch connections; and fabrication and installation of structural supports for piping and instruments.
Instrumentation & Electrical Works: Installation of pressure gauges, temperature transmitters, differential pressure transducers, and volume correctors; installation and wiring of the field-mounted flow computer with connection to the master control system; and installation of gas detection sensors and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems.
Testing & Pre-commissioning: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), pressure testing, functional testing, and nitrogen purging and cleaning to remove moisture and debris from the piping.
Commissioning & Handover: Gas-in and leak testing with gas detectors, system optimization of the pressure regulation and metering to operating conditions, and handover of as-built drawings, final test reports, and the O&M manual.

Alternative Fuel Shed and Coal Mill December 2022

Scope: Construction of the Coal Mill rigid pavement and Power Plant (BSDG) foundation.

Civil and structural construction of the coal mill rigid pavement and the BSDG power plant foundation.

Coal Mill Rigid Pavement: Site preparation (clearing, excavation, and leveling of the coal mill area); sub-grade stabilization and soil improvement for heavy loads; installation of high-strength reinforced concrete paving designed for heavy truck movement and raw material transport; and specialized drainage systems to handle coal-handling run-off.
Power Plant (BSDG) Foundation: Geotechnical investigation to verify soil bearing capacity; installation of reinforced concrete pile foundations to support the high-vibration power plant equipment; reinforced concrete pedestal foundations for boilers, turbines, and generators; and equipment integration through embedded anchor bolts and steel plates for equipment anchorage.

Tank Cleaning

Tank Cleaning — Atlas Cove March 2017

Scope: Tank degassing, isolation, and cleaning at Atlas Cove.

Degassing, isolation, and cleaning of storage tanks at Atlas Cove, executed from decommissioning through post-cleaning inspection and re-commissioning.

Pre-cleaning & Isolation: Positive isolation of all inlet/outlet, vent, and utility lines by blinding/spading; removal of remaining product via fixed connections, vacuum trucks, or pumps; and implementation of permit-to-work (PTW) systems for hazardous area operations.
Degassing & Vapor Control: Vapor extraction using blowers and vapor recovery units to remove flammable vapors and reduce oxygen levels; nitrogen inerting/purging; and continuous testing of oxygen, LEL, and toxic gases (H₂S, benzene) to obtain gas-free, safe-for-entry certification.
Tank Cleaning & Sludge Removal: Non-man-entry cleaning using automated desludging robots (ADS) and tank cleaning cannons; high-pressure hydro jetting of internal surfaces, roof supports, and shells; sludge removal and treatment via on-site centrifugal separation or off-site thermal desorption/incineration in line with NUPRC regulations; and proper waste management of contaminated materials.
Post-Cleaning Inspection & Re-commissioning: Final interior inspection and cleaning certification confirming the tank is free of sludge, sediment, and water; preparation for API 653 inspection (bottom, shells, and weld testing); and re-isolation/re-commissioning through blind removal, valve testing, and safe handover to operational status.

New Process Area Upgrade — Emulsion Pipeline Fabrication January 2017

Scope: Prefabrication and fabrication of the New Process Area emulsion pipeline.

Prefabrication and fabrication of the New Process Area emulsion pipeline, delivered from site survey through to LPG commissioning and handover.

Project Management & Mobilization: Site survey, engineering design, safety planning, and mobilization of personnel and materials.
Procurement & Material Management: Procurement of piping materials, valves, flanges, and structural supports, with primer coating and final UV-resistant painting for above-ground piping.
Fabrication & Installation: Prefabrication of piping spools to approved isometrics to minimize onsite welding; welding to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS); installation of pipe supports at appropriate spacing to control vibration; laying of the new spur line from the Buffer Tank outlet to the Main Storage Tank inlet with isolation valves; and tie-in to the existing tanks using cold cutting and specialized hot-work precautions (nitrogen purging/inerting).
Inspection & Testing (QA/QC): NDT including Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), hydrotesting to 1.3–1.5 times design pressure, and soap-bubble leak testing on all joints at operating pressure after nitrogen purging.
Cleaning, Coating & Commissioning: Cleaning and painting for corrosion protection; nitrogen purging to remove air before introducing LPG; and commissioning by gradual LPG introduction with leak checks before handover to operations.
Deliverables: As-built drawings, welding logs, NDT reports, hydrotest certificates, Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and a signed-off Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
